No best film nomination for Cold Mountain. Granted I never saw the movie nor was interested in seeing it, but given it was supposed to be one of those artsy films made by a major Hollywood house in the attempt to suck some of the movie dollars from the independent films. But I think it is somewhat fitting though, considering Cold Mountain is civil war (most often named the darkest moment in American History) movie in which hardly any of the players are actually from the United States. Now that is truly ironic.
